people never cease to amaze me...

Now faith is the substance of the things hoped for,
and the evidence of things not seen.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

God speaks.

Now, listen...

battles in the mind

are we trapped in our own minds?

too weak,

too selfish,

too unloving,

too unfriendly,

too stupid,

too fat,

too ugly,

too dirty,

too poor,

too worthless...

now, who is the one actually telling you all these things?

what is a sacrifice?

how often do i see it as a loss, as giving up something that is good in exchange of something that is not as good?

many times, too many times.

we all know better, but we do otherwise...

i guess to put things in perspective: Christ's death on the cross was neither a loss, and His gave up His life in exchange for something that was greater.

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

so what is a sacrifice, if it's to be made for God?

I know God can make it happen.

The reality so easily forsaken, a truth so readily dismissed in our minds,

Yet God so easily steps in, so readily responds to His children.

having the littlest of faith in a great big God.

in spite of the circumstances,

i trust in Christ,

because He died for me,

in spite of who i am.

praying with my arms wide open

He makes everything beautiful in His time...

I think we can only look forward to better days.

So let's get cracking!

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
